Lateral Skull Base Tumor Center, Affiliated Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University

The diagnosis and treatment of lateral skull base tumor have remained a difficult and risky scientific frontier so far. Lateral Skull Base Tumor Center, Affiliated Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University was established in 2020 relying on the Department of Otolaryngology, Affiliated Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University. The center aims to provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for patients with lateral skull base tumors, promote clinical and basic research related to lateral skull base tumors, and cultivate talents.

The lateral skull base tumor center team is a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and scientists which comprised of otolaryngologists, oncologists, neurosurgeons, and radiologists. The lateral skull base tumor center team has accumulated rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of lateral skull base tumors, offers comprehensive and compassionate expertise for conditions such as acoustic neuroma, facial neuroma, temporal bone malignancy and jugular globular tumor. Cooperating our Cochlear Implant Team, Facial Nerve Team, the center also provides customized management of hearing loss, facial nerve weakness caused by the conditions above.

Through the introduction of the most advanced techniques and devices, the lateral skull base tumor center carries out the frontier clinical trials of lateral skull base tumor, develops new surgical approaches such as interpositional graft and modified trans-labyrinthine approach with cochlear preservation, establishes multidisciplinary team, offers patients with personalized comprehensive care, so as to better serve patients with lateral skull base tumors.

Lateral Skull Base Tumor Center manages a number of clinical and basic researches at the same time, and accepts postgraduates and doctors for advanced studies.
