Dr. Zheng conducts basic and clinical research in the areas of the pathogenesis of age-related cataract, the improvement of the precision of cataract surgery and the application of functional intraocular lens (IOLs), and also the treatment of various types of complex cataract cases. Dr. Zheng has published 12 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author, with a total impact factor of 26.23, and were cited for 174 times. The research on cataract surgery in the extreme microphthalmic eyes was published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology. In addition, Dr. Zheng published 9 papers in Chinese as the first author, and participated in the writing of 6 academic books. Dr. Zheng have presented speeches in the ARVO meeting, Asia-ARVO meeting, APACRS meeting, the Chinese Ophthalmology Annual Conference, etc, and won the Free Paper Award of APACRS Conference, Shanghai Medical Association Ophthalmology Annual Conference, ARVO travel grant, Asia-ARVO travel grant, etc.
